Today I took a leisurely drive and snapped up some interesting architecture range. I would love for someone to provide some architecture feedback on these pictures.
A beautiful pond at the soon-to-open Freedom Park.
The Union Buildings. The Pretoria seat of Parliament.
Designed by Sir Herbert Baker beautiful style.
More about it here in Wikipedia:
Brickwork from the past
A statue in front of the Union Buildings in Pretoria
comprising 2 naked well-built men and a horse.
Interesting past...
The Police Monument in the Garden of the Union Buildings
10km away, Safari Nursery mega-nursery is situated. The most stunning environment to purchase plants and related items in!
At the same nursery, some very interesting 'rondawels' as they are known locally.
In Hatfield, the local student village for the University of
Pretoria and UNISA, a modern church building is being constructed,
symbolic of the renewed interest in religion they would probably like to
promote amongst students.
Some more architecture a little later...
